Cameroon Savate
French fighters dominated the assaut fights at the International Gala in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on April 26th. Assaut fighters aim to show mastery of technique, with KOs being forbidden. Anissa Meksen, 19 years, gave the first victory to France, winning by "majority of the points of the three judges".

The event was a celebration, with many personalities present, including Michel Tchoya, representing the Superior Counsel of Sport in Africa, and Gilles Le Duigou, President of the International Savate Federation. |

Geneva Savate Titles
Four countries participated in the Eagle Tournament in Geneva, 19th April 2008. Fifty-eight fighters from Belgium, France, Italy and Switzerland took part in 70 assaut fights. Fighters and officials found the tournament well- structured and friendly. A report appeared on the regional TV station Léman Blue. |

A gala event in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Great Britain Savate Federation. It will be held in the University city of Cambridge.
The League provides opportunities for competition for GB fighters. Competitors from France and Belgium have also entered previous events.
